Tomorrow is the first day of school! We are excited to welcome our students back on Thursday, August 20, and begin the 2026–2027 school year.
A few quick reminders as we get ready for the morning: students riding the bus should be at their bus stop a few minutes early, and we ask everyone to please be patient as bus routes settle into their normal schedules during the first few days.
Tonight, make sure backpacks are ready, alarms are set, and do not forget those pencils!
Our teachers and staff have been working hard to prepare for tomorrow, and we are looking forward to having our students back in our classrooms and hallways.
Tomorrow is more than the start of another school year. It is another year of learning, growing, making memories, and being part of all the great things happening in our public schools across West Virginia. And the best part is, you get to be part of it!
Have a great evening, get some rest, and we will see everyone tomorrow morning!

Our bus drivers and transportation staff spent time training and preparing for the new school year. For our drivers, getting ready for students means much more than knowing the route. It means reviewing safety procedures, preparing for emergencies, and making sure they are ready to safely transport our students to and from school each day.
Our school buses are often the first and last part of a student's school day, and our drivers play an important role in keeping students safe from the moment they step onto the bus until they arrive at their destination.
We are thankful for our transportation team and all they do to keep Hampshire County students safe and moving!
Another great example of the dedicated people who make us proud to say We Love WV Public Schools.
School starts Thursday, August 20. We are almost there!

Our classrooms are just about ready, our staff is excited, and we cannot wait to welcome our students back for another great year in Hampshire County Schools!
There is a lot to love about our public schools. #ILoveWVPublicSchools
See you Thursday!

Across Hampshire County Schools, our teachers and staff have been back in our schools learning, collaborating, preparing, and getting ready to welcome students back next week.
These pictures from across our county are a great reminder that learning never stops in public schools. Before our students walk through the doors, our educators are working to learn something new, sharpen their skills, share ideas, and make sure they are ready to give our students the very best start to the school year.
Next week, the seats will be filled with students. This week, they were filled with the people preparing to teach, support, encourage, and inspire them.
This is what public education looks like. It is people learning together, working together, and showing up for kids and their community.
We are proud of our schools. We are proud of our people. And we are proud to say:
We Love WV Public Schools!
#ILoveWVPublicSchools #PublicSchoolProudWV #HampshireCountySchools

As part of this transition, families will have the option to purchase AppleCare+ coverage for their student's district-issued iPad. AppleCare+ is completely optional and costs $40 per year.
With AppleCare+, students are covered for up to two accidental damage repairs each year at no additional cost to the family.
Families who choose not to purchase AppleCare+ will be responsible for the full cost of any repairs if the iPad is damaged.
AppleCare+ payments can be made to the technology department on August 20 and 21, prior to device distribution.
The Hampshire County Schools Technology Department will be at HHS on August 24 and 25 to distribute iPads to students. Families who have not already purchased AppleCare+ may also pay for coverage onsite before the student receives their device.
We are excited to get these new devices into the hands of our HHS students and begin the transition to iPads!

We have had several calls intended for the Hampshire County Schools Transportation Department going to our fax line instead of the main office phone.
If you need to speak with the Transportation Department, please call:

Please do NOT call 304-496-1501, as this is our fax line.
