George "Russ" Collett Named Superintendent of Hampshire County Schools The Hampshire County Board of Education is excited to share that George "Russ" Collett has been named the new Superintendent of Hampshire County Schools. He will begin his new role on July 1, 2025. Collett brings many years of experience and a strong background in leading schools and school systems. Before this appointment, Collett worked as the Assistant Superintendent and Director of Personnel for Upshur County Schools in West Virginia. In that role, he helped manage staff and supported the daily operations of the school district. The Board believes that Collett's knowledge and dedication to students and schools will be a great benefit to Hampshire County. His leadership is expected to bring new ideas and continued success for our schools. We invite everyone to welcome Mr. Collett to Hampshire County and support him as he works to improve learning for all students.

Students entering 12th grade for 2025-2026 school year are required to have a 2nd Meningitis vaccine. The Health Department will be at H.H.S. on March 27th and April 29th to give vaccines with parent/guardian consent. Forms will be sent home with those students who need the shot or are available from the school nurse.
