Adoption Process
Hampshire County Policies that are newly proposed or revised follow this progression before becoming adopted policy:

• First Reading (Introduction)

• Second Reading (Amendment)

• Third Reading (Adoption) 

• Once policies pass First Reading, they will be listed for public comment.

Please look at the upcoming Board of Education agenda (PDF) for policies that will be up for First Reading, Second Reading and/or Third Reading (Adoption).

Public Comment
You may submit comments about any policy that is up for comment until 3 PM on the day of the meeting in which the policy will be considered by the Board.
